Master of Science in Applied and Computational Statistics By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on developing techniques and models to address applied problems across various fields, including Economics, Environment, Agriculture, Biology, Medicine, and Engineering. The program covers essential sub-fields such as Statistical Modelling and Forecasting, Computational Statistics and Inference, and Reliability Analysis.
Students will engage in topics like time series analysis, spatial modeling, extreme value theory, regression techniques, and robust statistics. Additionally, they will explore Bayesian statistics, Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods, and various aspects of reliability analysis, including survival analysis and biostatistics.
