Master of Science in Aquaculture Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on applying advanced biotechnological techniques to enhance the production of aquatic animals and plants in the aquaculture industry. With increasing seafood demand and declining natural resources, this program encourages research into sustainable practices and effective biotechnological tools for improving aquaculture production.
Students will engage in developing protocols, processes, and techniques, as well as biotechnological products derived from aquaculture resources. The program emphasizes that modern biotechnology should complement traditional methods, addressing challenges in aquaculture while aiming to improve the yields and quality of cultured species.
