Master of Science in Aquatic Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the application of biotechnology tools to study cells, tissues, organs, organelles, and extracts or molecules derived from marine plants and animals. The program emphasizes understanding the properties and functions of specific biological pathways, systems, and conditions in these organisms to elucidate their survival, growth, and responses to pathological and immunological challenges.

Students will concentrate on establishing new protocols and processes, as well as developing innovative products utilizing marine resources, equipping them with the skills necessary to contribute to advancements in aquatic biotechnology and its applications.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
