Master of Science in Biocomposite Technology and Design By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on fundamental research in bio fibers, the manufacturing of bio composites, and the design of bio composite materials for building components and furniture. The program emphasizes key aspects of bio fiber research, including the characterization and quality enhancement of bio fibers.

Students will explore the optimization of processing variables, the formulation and use of new resin binders, and the evaluation of bio composite products. The design component covers the development of 3D and 4D models using CAD/CAID methodologies, as well as the application of bio composite materials in Industrialized Building Systems (IBS) and furniture design. Additionally, the program includes Product Life Cycle (PLC) cost analysis to ensure economic feasibility.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent.
