Master of Science in Bioresource Management By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the exploration and development of sustainable bioresource management practices, particularly in forest plantations for the wood-based industry and the commercialization of plant species. This interdisciplinary program emphasizes research into the potential of bioresources through the screening, identification, and characterization of fast-growing tree species and other relevant plantation crops.
Students will integrate knowledge and skills in areas such as flora-fauna-environment interactions, species-site suitability, tissue culture, ecosystem modeling, and land-use planning. The program also considers the social and economic dimensions of plantation management, aiming to create sustainable solutions that benefit both the environment and local communities.
