Master of Science in Biotechnology with Bio-entrepreneurship By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the critical role of biotherapeutics in modern medicine for the treatment and prevention of serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. This program emphasizes understanding the mechanisms of action of bioactive compounds derived from biological sources through nutrigenomic techniques and targeted delivery methods.

Students will engage in research aimed at developing potential bioactive compounds for commercialization and creating a drug target library. The program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the biotechnology landscape and explore entrepreneurial opportunities in the field.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
