Master of Science in Biotherapeutics By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the vital role of biotherapeutics in modern medicine, particularly in the treatment and prevention of serious illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. This program emphasizes understanding the mechanisms of action of bioactive compounds sourced from biological resources through nutrigenomic tools and their targeted delivery to specific tissues.

In addition, this program highlights the development of potent bioactives aimed at commercialization. Students will gain hands-on research experience, equipping them to advance the field of biotherapeutics and contribute to innovative health solutions.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
