Master of Science in Cell Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the applications and advancements in animal cell biotechnology, a key area in life sciences driven by technologies such as genetic engineering, cloning, recombinant DNA, and gene transfer.
This program explores various applications of animal biotechnology, including the production of pharmaceuticals, cell-based assays, and specialized animals for disease studies. Key research areas encompass stem cell research for regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, gene expression in animal cells, production of recombinant proteins, viral vaccines, and drug discovery.
Students will engage in research that contributes to the development of biopharmaceutical products for medical applications, equipping them with the expertise needed to innovate in this vital field.
