Master of Science in Computational Mathematics By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on utilizing numerical analysis to compute approximate solutions to various mathematical problems through advanced computer programs. As the capabilities of high-speed computers continue to grow, the significance of computational mathematics is increasingly recognized.
Students will engage in research that centers on the numerical solutions of ordinary differential equations, including delay, fuzzy, algebraic, and stiff equations. Key methods explored include the Runge-Kutta method, multistep methods, hybrid methods, block methods, and parallel numerical approaches. This program equips graduates with the necessary skills to tackle complex computational challenges effectively.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
