Master of Science in Hospitality By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) aims to provide students with an advanced academic understanding and heightened awareness of current practices in the hospitality industry.
The program offers a platform for research in various areas, including hospitality management and marketing, service operations, and the economics of hospitality firms.
Students will explore the supply and value chain within the accommodation sector, including hotels, resorts, and homestays, as well as the food service industry, covering restaurants, catering, and similar businesses.
Research areas emphasize operational issues in hospitality organizations, strategic management, service quality, customer experience, entrepreneurship, and economic evaluation. Students will have opportunities to attend relevant research classes and engage in research activities under the professional supervision of experts in the field.
