Master of Science in Immunobiology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) delves into the study of the immune system and the immunological mechanisms that protect the body from foreign threats. This program encompasses fundamental research on the structure, development, growth, and functions of immune cells and organs, offering a comprehensive foundation in basic immunology.
Students will learn to apply various immunological principles in practical settings, including diagnostic tests based on antigen-antibody reactions, cellular and humoral immune functional assays for health assessment, and immunization strategies for disease prevention. The program also explores how defects in the immune system can lead to conditions such as infections, allergies, autoimmune disorders, and graft-versus-host diseases. Graduates will be equipped to contribute to health management through improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of immune-related diseases.
