Master of Science in Immunopharmacology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the intersection of immunology and pharmacology, examining the pharmacology of mediators and cells that drive dysfunctional immunity and inflammation. This program investigates how these components interact to produce effective immune responses and how dysfunctions in these pathways lead to various pathologies.
Students will engage in research aimed at understanding drugs that modulate the immune system, drawing from disciplines such as immunology, pharmacology, toxicology, pathology, cell biology, molecular biology, and medicinal chemistry. The program emphasizes the complexity of the immune system, which includes a wide array of cells, hormones, and chemical signaling molecules. Graduates will contribute to the development of new treatments and medications for various diseases while expanding scientific knowledge in the field of immunopharmacology.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
