Master of Science in Industrial Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the industrial application of biotechnology, including manufacturing, alternative energy, and biomaterials.

This program emphasizes the commercialization of biotechnology products and processes, utilizing enzymes and biological cells. Students will study the impact of industrial biotechnology on the chemical sector, exploring the conversion of renewable resources and enhancing conventional raw material efficiency. Key research areas include bio-products such as pharmaceuticals, bio-plastics, vitamins, and liquid biofuels. Graduates will be prepared to contribute significantly to this evolving field.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree (with honours) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.000
