Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is designed to equip students with specialized knowledge and skills in the field of industrial hygiene, a crucial aspect of Occupational Safety and Health. This program focuses on the science and art of anticipating, identifying, evaluating, and controlling environmental factors that may pose health risks in the workplace, including noise, radiation, extreme temperatures, chemicals, and biological contaminants.

Students will engage in research to develop preventive and corrective measures against health hazards, utilizing a regulatory framework. The program prepares graduates to understand various workplace operations and processes, conduct quantitative assessments through exposure monitoring, and implement effective control strategies to mitigate potential risks. By the end of the program, students will be well-equipped to contribute to the safety and health of workers in diverse industrial environments.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
