Master of Science in Intelligent Systems By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the research and development of intelligent computing theories, designs, implementations, and applications. The program explores new techniques for transforming massive data into valuable information and knowledge, including genetic algorithms, swarm optimization, and ant colony optimization.

Students will engage in studies related to agent semantics, ontology, and multi-agent systems, alongside mobile computation and social networking. The curriculum emphasizes intelligent content analysis through text mining, semantics, and natural language processing, with a focus on developing algorithms that enhance text comprehension across applications. Additionally, students will apply advanced mathematical and computer science techniques to emerging problems in the life sciences, particularly in the post-genomic era. Research also includes methods for implementing intelligent solutions in embedded systems for robotics and smart devices. Key areas of study encompass data mining, intelligent agents, evolutionary computation, computational linguistics, bioinformatics, and embedded systems.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
