Master of Science in Mariculture By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the rearing of marine plants and animals for food and other products. This specialized branch of aquaculture cultivates species such as seaweeds, molluscs, crustaceans, and fish in various environments, including open seas and controlled systems. The program emphasizes modern approaches that enhance production efficiency, limit chemical reliance, and promote sustainability. 

Key areas of study include seeding techniques for high-value species, marine plant culture, nursing methods, and biosecurity. Graduates are prepared to meet the growing demand for mariculture and contribute to advancements in the aquaculture sector.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
