Master of Science in Materials Science By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the interplay between material structure and properties across disciplines such as physics, chemistry, and engineering.

The program covers the design, synthesis, processing, and characterization of various materials, including advanced materials, biopolymers, magnetic materials, and nanomaterials. Research emphasizes understanding materials at nano, micro, and macro scales to drive innovations in energy, environment, and manufacturing.

Key studies include dielectric properties of titanates and ferrites, aimed at developing materials for multilayer capacitors and capacitive sensors, preparing students for impactful contributions in materials science.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
