Master of Science in Mathematical Cryptography By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the rapidly evolving field of cryptography, which plays a crucial role in information security. This program emphasizes the application of mathematical concepts, including number theory, geometric algebra, and chaos theory, to develop efficient cryptographic algorithms.
Students will engage in research areas such as testing and factorization of large integers, lattice-based cryptography, filtering methods, elliptic curve cryptography, and discrete log problems. The ultimate goal is to develop, refine, and implement cryptographic protocols that can become industry standards for secure communications.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
