Master of Science in Mathematics Education By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on enhancing mathematical understanding through the study of various educational theories and practices. This program investigates approaches such as constructivism, mastery learning, cooperative and collaborative learning, contextual learning, and problem-based learning.
Students will explore additional pedagogical perspectives, including cognitive-guided instruction, the zone of proximal development, and the values and beliefs surrounding mathematics education. The program also examines the development of mathematical thinking, the integration of technology in teaching, technology design for mathematics instruction, and current issues or policies related to mathematics education, preparing graduates for impactful careers in the field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
