Master of Science in Medicinal Chemistry By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on developing new methodologies to validate traditional and herbal medicines as scientifically supported therapeutic agents. The program explores the relationship between molecular structure and biological activity, encompassing areas such as organic synthesis, drug design, QSAR, molecular modeling, and drug metabolism.

Current research projects concentrate on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of novel biologically active compounds, as well as molecular modifications that improve understanding of structure-activity relationships (SAR). The program also incorporates computational studies and innovative computational chemistry methods aimed at optimizing bioactive molecules and analyzing target interactions.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
