Master of Science in Molecular Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) explores the molecular foundations of technological applications in biology and medicine. This field arises from the integration of various research disciplines, including molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics, and cell biology.

The program equips students with the tools of molecular biotechnology, which can be utilized to develop and enhance drugs, vaccines, therapies, and diagnostic tests aimed at improving human and animal health. Additionally, molecular biotechnology has significant applications in agriculture, veterinary sciences, aquaculture, forestry, and food processing. This interdisciplinary curriculum allows students to specialize in their areas of interest while focusing on enhancing their knowledge and practical skills through research projects.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
