Master of Science in Nanotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) aims to equip students with essential knowledge in the field of nanotechnology, which focuses on developing materials, devices, and structures with at least one dimension ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers.
This program explores the manipulation of matter at the atomic and molecular scale, incorporating diverse scientific fields such as surface science, organic chemistry, molecular biology, semiconductor physics, and microfabrication. Typical applications of nanotechnology covered in the program include sensors, delivery systems, nanoabsorbents, nanoelectronics, nanomachines, nanocomposites, nanotubes, and nanocarbons. Students will gain the expertise needed to contribute to innovations in this rapidly evolving field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
