Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is offered through the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health. This program provides a comprehensive foundation of knowledge, subject-matter expertise, essential skills, and a global network of opportunities that equip students to enhance their careers in this vital field.
Occupational Safety and Health is a multidisciplinary domain encompassing various interrelated sub-disciplines for research, including Occupational Health, Occupational Medicine, Safety Science, Occupational/Industrial Hygiene, Human Factors and Ergonomics, Management Systems, Policy and Legislation, among others.
Students will have the chance to engage in laboratory-based research, fieldwork, or a combination of both. The program aims to produce research findings that will not only benefit individuals, communities, and companies but also assist government agencies in policy formulation, design of improved preventive strategies, and the establishment of effective systems for managing occupational safety and health.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
