Master of Science in Pest Management By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is designed for students interested in the science and technology of pest management. This program encourages interdisciplinary studies on plant diseases, insects, weeds, and pests, with a focus on developing management systems that are ecologically and economically sustainable.
Students will learn to apply pest management concepts, identify pests and the symptoms of pest damage, and understand the economic implications of decision-making in pest management.
Through rigorous research and practical applications, graduates will be equipped to address contemporary challenges in pest management and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate.
