Master of Science in Plant Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the application of plant tissue culture, molecular biology, and genetic engineering to enhance plant productivity.

This program aims to address challenges such as diseases, pests, and environmental stresses while improving the quality of plant products. By advancing crop production and utilization, plant biotechnology benefits farmers, the food industry, plantation sectors, consumers, and the environment. Students will engage in research that is critical for driving innovations in plant biotechnology.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree (with honours) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.000
