Master of Science in Sensor Technology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the design and development of sensors to meet the increasing demand for products and services utilizing information from various types of sensors.
Sensor technology plays a crucial role as a key technology supporting a wide array of research and industrial applications. It is essential in areas such as agriculture, water security, environmental monitoring, and green technology. This program emphasizes the development of sensor networks, particularly wireless sensor networks (WSN). While sensors can encompass electronic sensors, biosensors, and chemical sensors, the primary focus will be on the design and development of electronic sensors, equipping students with the expertise needed to innovate in this vital field.
