Master of Science in Software Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) emphasizes a comprehensive approach to software production, covering every stage from requirement specification to post-deployment maintenance. The program focuses on systematic and disciplined techniques for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of quality software.

Students will explore a wide range of topics, including theoretical aspects of software engineering, software architecture, web services, software modeling, and software quality management. Additional areas of research include enterprise software engineering, green software engineering, component-based software engineering, and software measurement and metrics. Moreover, the program addresses special-purpose embedded software engineering, integrating multidisciplinary research from fields like education, agriculture, and health sciences.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
