Master of Veterinary Science in Bacteriology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is dedicated to the study of pathogenic bacteria and their characteristics, roles, and effects as causative agents of diseases in both animals and humans. This multidisciplinary field encompasses vital areas such as epidemiology, pathogenicity, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and the control and prevention of bacterial diseases.
Research focuses on bacterial diseases that have significant economic implications for the animal and veterinary industries, as well as those that impact public health. Students will utilize various advanced techniques in bacteriological research, including molecular biology, biotechnology, genomics, and proteomics. This program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to address pressing challenges in veterinary bacteriology effectively.
• A Bachelor's degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
