Master of Veterinary Science in Small Animal Medicine By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of companion animals through comprehensive research on diseases and therapeutic approaches. This program also promotes the benefits of the human-animal bond and addresses the reduction of unwanted and problem pets through community education.

Research focuses on the etiology, epidemiology, and pathogenesis of diseases that affect companion animals. Students will engage in the development of innovative diagnostic tests for identifying disease-causing agents, and will participate in the monitoring and application of the latest treatment options and protocols. The breadth of expertise within the research group encompasses various disciplines, including internal medicine, cardiology, reproduction, diagnostic imaging, zoonoses, and epidemiology.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor's degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
