The Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Statistics with Honours at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), is designed to produce competent, analytical, and industry-ready graduates capable of contributing effectively to research and development activities in both industrial and service sectors.

The program emphasizes the practical application of statistical methods across various fields, including management, medicine, finance, and data analysis. Students receive rigorous training in analyzing real-world data—such as financial, industrial, and medical datasets—using appropriate statistical techniques and computational tools.

In addition to a strong foundation in statistical theory, the program places significant emphasis on computer-based data analysis, enabling students to make informed decisions, draw accurate conclusions, and solve complex problems using data-driven approaches. Graduates are well-equipped with the quantitative, analytical, and technical skills required for careers in statistics, analytics, and other data-focused professions.

Entry Requirements 

• Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 3.00

Minimum grade B in subjects below:
