Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Chemistry at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a practice-oriented programme that focuses on the application of fundamental chemical principles—including physical, organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry—within industrial and manufacturing contexts.

The programme is designed to strengthen students’ practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills relevant to industrial processes and operations. It offers specialised training in areas such as materials science, unit operations, industrial chemical processes, chemical safety, and processing technologies, ensuring graduates are well prepared to meet industry demands.

In addition, the programme provides a strong foundation and flexible pathways to other science-based and technology-driven fields, supporting career development in industrial chemistry, manufacturing, quality control, research, and related sectors.

Entry Requirements

• Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 3.00

And

Minimum grade B in subjects below:

• Chemistry
• Mathematics
