The Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics and Economics with Honours at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a distinctive double-major program offered by the School of Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia. This interdisciplinary program is designed to equip students with the ability to think critically across the boundaries of mathematics and economics, preparing them to compete effectively in real-world and dynamic professional environments.

The curriculum provides rigorous training in integrating mathematics and statistics with economic theory and applications. Students develop strong analytical and quantitative skills, enabling them to model, analyze, and interpret economic and financial phenomena accurately.

In addition, the program places strong emphasis on advanced computer and data analysis skills, particularly in the analysis of economic and financial data. Graduates are trained to make well-informed, data-driven decisions with a high level of analytical sophistication, preparing them for careers in economics, finance, analytics, and related quantitative fields.

Entry Requirements 

• Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 3.00

Minimum grade B in subjects below:
