Bachelor of Environmental Technology with Honours at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a three-and-a-half-year undergraduate program designed to meet the growing global demand for professionals capable of addressing complex environmental challenges. As environmental issues continue to gain worldwide attention, this program prepares graduates with the knowledge, technical skills, and practical competencies required to respond effectively upon entering the workforce.

The curriculum covers a broad range of core areas, including chemical engineering unit operations, water and industrial wastewater treatment with emphasis on treatment plant design, solid and scheduled waste management, environmental management systems, environmental safety, and environmental laws and regulations. Students are also trained in air and noise pollution control, equipping them with a strong foundation in applied environmental technologies.

In addition to technical expertise, the program emphasizes an integrated understanding of social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Graduates are thus well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to environmental protection, sustainable development initiatives, and compliance-driven roles in both the public and private sectors.

Entry Requirements 

• Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 2.67 

And

Minimum grade B- in any 2 subjects  below:
