Bachelor of Science in Animal and Plant Biodiversity with Honours at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) aims to produce graduates with a strong fundamental understanding of core biological disciplines, including ecology, evolution, biodiversity, genetics, and microbiology, supported by essential knowledge in basic chemistry, mathematics, and biostatistics.

The programme equips students with relevant technical and analytical skills, fostering critical thinking and adherence to professional, ethical, and responsible scientific practices. Graduates are trained in key scientific research methodologies, including experimental design, data analysis, synthesis, and evaluation within the biological sciences.

This comprehensive training prepares graduates for careers in biodiversity conservation, research, environmental management, and related scientific fields, as well as for further studies at the postgraduate level.

Entry Requirements

• Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 2.75 

And

Minimum grade B in subjects below:

• Biology

And

Minimum grade C in subjects below:

• Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics
