The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Honours at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) provides broad-based and rigorous training across the core areas of the mathematical sciences, including pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics.

The program is designed to develop students’ ability to think logically, analytically, and with precision, equipping them with strong problem-solving skills applicable to a wide range of professional settings such as business, finance, and industrial organizations. Through a solid theoretical foundation combined with practical applications, students gain the competence to analyze complex problems and formulate effective solutions.

In addition, the program prepares graduates for advanced studies by equipping them with the necessary academic and analytical skills to pursue postgraduate education in various fields of the mathematical sciences.

Entry Requirements 

• Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 3.00

And

Minimum grade B in subjects below:

• Mathematics
• Biology / Chemistry / Physics / ICT
