Doctor of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry (By Research) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a research-focused programme aimed at developing advanced expertise in analytical chemistry through original and independent research. The programme covers cutting-edge areas such as separation science, spectroscopy and spectrometry, electroanalytical chemistry, sensor and biosensor development, chemometrics, and analytical method development and validation. Students are trained to apply advanced analytical techniques for qualitative and quantitative analysis in a well-equipped research environment under expert academic supervision. Graduates are well prepared for careers in academia, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, environmental and forensic laboratories, and research and development institutions.
