Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry (By Research) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a research-based postgraduate programme designed to develop advanced competence in analytical chemistry through original and supervised research. The programme focuses on key areas such as separation science, spectroscopy and spectrometry, electroanalytical techniques, sensor and biosensor development, chemometrics, and analytical method development and validation. Students gain hands-on experience with modern analytical instrumentation, data analysis, and scientific writing within a well-equipped research environment under close academic supervision. Graduates are well prepared for careers in research and development, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, environmental, clinical, and forensic laboratories, or for progression to doctoral studies.
