Master of Science in Physical Chemistry (By Research) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a research-based postgraduate programme designed to develop strong expertise in physical chemistry through original and supervised research. The programme focuses on areas such as thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, surface and materials chemistry, and computational and theoretical chemistry. Students gain hands-on experience with advanced experimental and analytical techniques, data interpretation, and scientific writing in a supportive research environment under close academic supervision. Graduates are well prepared for careers in research and development, chemical and related industries, or for progression to doctoral studies.

• A minimum of 2.75/4.00 for Bachelor degree in Chemistry
