Master of Science in Tropical Plant Disease Management (Mixed Mode) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is a professionally oriented programme tailored for students with a strong interest in tropical plant diseases. It offers comprehensive training across plant pathology, plant disease and pest management, plant pathogenic microorganisms, plant tissue culture, agricultural entomology, and advanced agronomy.
Students engage with current challenges in tropical agriculture through a balanced mix of lectures, laboratory practicals, field trips, interactive roundtable discussions, and research projects. Designed to address real-world agricultural problems, the programme equips graduates with practical skills and applied knowledge to effectively manage tropical plant diseases, contributing to improved crop sustainability, food security, and agricultural resilience.
