The Bachelor of Communication (Honours) in Advertising program at Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) is designed to equip students with the latest knowledge and skills needed to actively contribute to the shaping and development of the advertising industry, both locally and globally. This program offers a comprehensive understanding of the advertising industry, along with introductory courses in other areas of mass communication, including public relations. Students establish a strong foundation in design principles, learn how to effectively integrate diverse communication tools into corporate strategic plans, and gain practical experience through internships in advertising agencies or the marketing/communication divisions of prominent corporations. Additionally, students are exposed to the most recent advancements in multimedia communication, providing them with a solid foundation in this rapidly evolving field. As part of their final-year project, students undertake an actual advertising campaign in the form of a Capstone project. The Bachelor of Communication (Honours) in Advertising program at UTAR prepares graduates to excel as professionals in the advertising industry, equipped with the expertise to create impactful campaigns and contribute to the dynamic realm of multimedia communication.

Entry Requirements

STPM  

  •  A minimum of Grade C in any 2 subjects
  •  Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent
