The Bachelor of Technology (Honours) in Industrial Management program at Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) encompasses the fields of industrial design, manufacturing, management, and the application of science and engineering principles to enhance the overall industrial infrastructure and processes. Industrial Management (IM) primarily focuses on effectively managing industrial processes. Industrial managers play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal interaction of the 4Ms: Man, Material, Machine, and Method, which are essential components for the success of any organization. The program provides a comprehensive curriculum that combines the study of engineering, business, and management. Students gain a deep understanding of industrial processes, organizational dynamics, and strategic management principles. Upon graduation, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to oversee and streamline industrial operations, enhance productivity, and drive innovation. With their interdisciplinary expertise, graduates of the Industrial Management program are well-prepared to pursue careers in various industries, including manufacturing, production, project management, and operations, where they contribute to the efficient and effective management of industrial processes.

Entry Requirements

STPM

A minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in 2 subjects
Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent OR Grade C (GP 2.00) in STPM Mathematics
