The Doctor of Engineering in Process Plant Management programme at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is designed to foster individuals who possess the ability to innovate and effectively implement those innovations. This mixed-mode programme aims to address significant and complex problems related to managing process plants by providing practical solutions. In addition to technological considerations, these solutions must also take into account factors such as financial constraints, timescales, human capital management, and other relevant aspects. The EngD programme offers a distinctive alternative to the traditional PhD, catering specifically to the needs of the industry and providing a doctorate with a strong vocational focus in the process industry. It offers high flexibility and welcomes candidates from various management levels. This full-time postgraduate programme requires candidates to dedicate most of their time to conducting research within their respective organizations or industries.
