The Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (Research) at UTM University Malaysia is offered on a full-time basis, specifically at the UTM Main Campus in Johor Bahru. The program is designed for a duration ranging from three (3) to eight (8) years, depending on the student's entry qualifications.

This full research program operates on a two-semester academic session and involves close supervision by qualified academic staff. Candidates engage in directed research that introduces them to the processes of developing and applying new knowledge in the field.

Assessment is conducted through the evaluation of initial research proposals, semester progress reports, and a thesis examination (viva voce), ensuring that candidates meet rigorous academic standards throughout their studies.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s Degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or any other Institutions of higher learning recognised by the Senate.
