The Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering (Research) at UTM University Malaysia is offered on a full-time basis, with a study duration ranging from a minimum of three years to a maximum of eight years Candidates must be supervised by a Graduate Faculty member, and co-supervisors may be selected from other higher learning institutions or the industry 

Academic progress is assessed through a research progress report submitted at the end of each semester, as well as a research proposal presented during a mini-viva The degree is awarded based on the examination of the thesis, which includes a viva voce upon completion of the study This structure ensures that candidates develop a deep understanding of mechanical engineering and contribute original research to the field.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s Degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or any other Institutions of higher learning recognised by the Senate.
