The Master of Computer Science at UTM University Malaysia is offered on a full-time basis through Open Distance Learning (ODL), conducted entirely online The program lasts for three semesters (1.5 years) and requires a total of 45 credits for graduation It is accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) in line with the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)

The Master of Computer Science at UTM University Malaysia is offered as a full-time program exclusively at the UTM Main Campus in Johor Bahru The duration of study is dependent on the student's entry qualifications, lasting up to a maximum of four (4) years

The program operates on a two-semester academic session and follows a mixed-mode structure Students can take a minimum of one course (3-4 credits) up to a maximum of twenty credits per semester All coursework must be completed before beginning the dissertation

Students with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 may register for one elective course alongside their dissertation Those registering for courses with UM status can also enroll in dissertations

Assessment is based on two components: GPA/CGPA and a research progress report, which is due by week 12 of the semester through GSMS The dissertation evaluation is graded in three categories: Satisfactory (MM), Unsatisfactory (TM), and Fail (GG).

Entry Requirements

CGPA ≥ 2.5 for the Bachelor Degree of Computer Science, or equivalent (such as Technology/Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and other appropriate) from recognized university by Malaysia
