The Master of Engineering (Computer and Microelectronic Systems) program at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in the fields of computer engineering, IC microchip design, microelectronics systems, and advanced electronics in new generation technologies. The program aims to address the challenges faced by semiconductor-based companies in producing smaller, higher performance, and cost-effective microchips that meet the growing demand for digital devices. It offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers both theoretical concepts and practical applications, allowing engineers to enhance their knowledge and skills while complementing their industrial expertise. The program is developed in close collaboration with industry partners, such as Intel, ensuring that it meets the technical needs for upskilling and advancing the knowledge of engineers. The program offers both full-time and part-time options, with full-time classes conducted at the main campus in Johor Bahru and part-time classes held at the INTEL campus in Penang. The program can be completed within two years, consisting of four regular semesters and one short semester. Classes for the part-time program are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays at the study center. The program fees are affordable and competitive, making it accessible to a wide range of students.
