The Master of Engineering program in Geotechnics at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia the objective of the Master is to enhance students' knowledge and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of geological materials (soils and rocks) as well as the analysis and design of geotechnical engineering structures. This program is specifically designed for professionals and engineers already working in the field of geotechnical engineering, focusing on areas such as foundations, retaining structures, highway and railway foundations, landfills, and slope stability problems. Additionally, the program aims to equip students with the necessary skills to pursue further studies and research in these respective areas.
Bachelor's Degree: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. The degree should be of good honors standing and should cover the necessary foundational knowledge in civil engineering.
Lower Degree Grade with Working Experience: In some cases, candidates with a lower degree grade may be considered for admission if they possess relevant working experience in the field of civil engineering. The working experience should be substantial and demonstrate the candidate's proficiency in the subject matter.
