The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language and Literature at Xiamen University Malaysia launched in September 2020. The program is designed to equip students with a solid linguistic foundation, diverse knowledge, a global perspective, and a highly adaptable professional attitude.

Students undergo rigorous training in active listening, speaking, reading, writing, and intercultural communication. They explore fundamental theories of English literature and linguistics, while diving into second language acquisition, translation, and the history of English-speaking nations.

Throughout their studies, students learn to critically analyze and appreciate various literary works and complex language phenomena. Additionally, elective courses in French and German are offered to broaden their linguistic horizons and enhance their cultural understanding.

Entry Requirements

STPM  

• A pass in STPM with at least a Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects or its equivalent and a credit in English in SPM or its equivalent
