The Bachelor of Engineering in Data Science (Honours) is a newly introduced program offered by the School of Computing and Data Science. This program has been designed to meet the increasing market demand for data science graduates across various sectors, including banking, commerce, industry, healthcare, and the public sector.
The program aims to cultivate talents with a global perspective and strong analytical skills to navigate the ever-changing landscape of data science. Upon completion, students will acquire the mathematical, statistical, and computational skills essential for solving complex data challenges.
The program is supported by both local and international teams of academics, including faculty members seconded from the main campus. Our faculty consists of PhD holders in their respective fields. Additionally, the program benefits from the expertise of prominent academic leaders from the Computer Science and Technology Program, the Artificial Intelligence Program, the Software Engineering Program, and the School of Mathematics.
In addition to their teaching roles, our academics are actively engaged in research and publication. Their diverse expertise in specialized areas provides a significant advantage in teaching, especially considering that data science is a unique and interdisciplinary field of study.
