The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Honours) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has been offered by the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics since September 2018. The department brings together mathematicians trained at well-known institutions worldwide, with expertise in analysis, algebra, geometry, financial mathematics, and statistics.

The programme focuses on delivering high-quality courses on par with international standards, so students can appreciate both the beauty and real-world applications of mathematics. Students learn how to understand mathematical theories rigorously and clearly.

A key strength is developing logical reasoning and clear communication skills. Graduates structure arguments, present ideas persuasively, and link abstract concepts to practical applications to bridge theory and practice.
